About Us

The purpose of the Houston Society of Association Executives (HSAE) is to enhance the professionalism and performance of those involved with voluntary membership organizations in the greater Houston area. HSAE is affiliated with both the Texas Society of Association Executives (TSAE) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). HSAE is a unique resource to the leaders, executives, managers and staff of Houston’s professional associations, offering premier educational programs, outstanding networking opportunities, and more!





President Elect

Lindsay Konlande serves as the Associate Director for IREM Houston and wears many hats, including marketer, volunteer manager, and event planner to name a few. Lindsay believes association managers shape all aspects of our community by supporting those that work and thrive within it. She just celebrated her 5th year in association management and in that time has grown from an assistant role to being the 2nd in command to the third largest chapter of an international association. Lindsay has been an active member of HSAE for several years and currently serves in the President Elect role. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Texas A&M University.

Barbara Zlatnik, CAE, works for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers as Senior Manager, Segment Operations. She is primary staff support for a number of ASME’s technical divisions; these groups produce conferences and technical content. She ensures that these volunteer groups align with ASME strategy, policies and meet the needs of members. She has a long career in association management and is passionate about associations and their important role in society. Barbara has been a member of HSAE for a number of years, serving as President twice.
