Virtual Meeting

Session Description: Make It Work: Creating Effective Virtual Teams – In March of 2020, many of us were thrust quickly (and hesitantly) into a world of virtual work, meetings, and management. The learning curve for such a swift change is steep, yet the requirements of our jobs have not slowed down! In this session, our guest speaker Reagan Pugh will share insight into how you can evolve from just operating virtually, to succeeding virtually. In this session attendees will learn:

  • How to host more effective virtual meetings
  • Tips for connecting with coworkers from afar
  • Tools for virtual collaboration

Speaker:

Before speaking and facilitating full time, Reagan guided initiatives on storytelling, culture, and leadership development at companies like Nike, Pepsico, Western Digital, and Kimberly Clark as Chief Storyteller with the innovation consulting firm, Kalypso. Reagan has designed and taught leadership courses for Texas State University, Trinity University, and Angelo State University and continues to speak to student audiences throughout the U.S. From 2009-2011 he served as a 10th grade English teacher with Teach for America on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. During that time he also launched a theater program which, in its inaugural year, won the state one-act play competition for the first time in school history. Reagan is invested in the work of the Epilepsy Foundation, occasionally performs improv around Austin, and probably knows more about Batman than you do.
