    ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition

    August 10 - 13, 2019
    Columbus, OH

POP! into ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition

Join thousands of association professionals from across the world in Columbus, Ohio, August 10–13, 2019. You’ll get the wows, zings, and aha moments over three days of learning, growing, and networking. Equip yourself with resources, strategies, and solutions that will secure your career and association meetings. From learning labs to a robust Association Solutions Marketplace (Expo) filled with destinations, new technologies, and more, we’re ready to help make the association industry thrive.

Get started with Opening Keynote Jeremy Heimans, co-founder and CEO, Purpose and Henry Timms, president and CEO, 92nd Street Y as they talk about the future of “new power”. The idea of “new power” was featured as a Big Idea by Harvard Business Review and was one of the top 2014 TED talks, with over 1.25 million views. By understanding new power you’ll be able to reshape the world into one of your design. Heimans and Timms will explain how new power is changing politics, business, and life. It threads its way through movements like the Ice Bucket Challenge to creating new market segments like AirBNB.

Our closing keynote is none other than Alton Fitzgerald White, a talented singer, actor, and dancer who has starred in six Broadway hits, including a record breaking 4,308 performances as King Mufasa in The Lion King. He has starred in TV, movies, released a CD and authored his autobiography. Alton will share his secrets on how he constantly gives his best performance over and over again, and challenges us to align our passion with our purpose. And yes, he does sing for us!

Plus, you’ll experience Game Changers that inspire by challenging the norm and breaking boundaries. This year’s game changers include:

Joe DeLoss, founder of Hot Chicken Takeover who not only sells amazing fried chicken but created a business model that provides good paying jobs to those who are formerly incarcerated or living in poverty.

Nadya Okamomo founder of PERIOD. The Menstrual Movement. Nadya headed an organization she founded at the age of 16, and then went on to run for office where she mobilized young people on the grounds and at polls.

Brant Menswar, CEO of Rock Star Impact challenges us to choose our purpose and shares his story. He teaches association leaders how to cultivate values-based leadership and uses music to build bridges across generational, gender, and competency-based gaps.

Erica Dhawan, founder of Contential is the world’s leading authority on connectional intelligence. She was named one of the emerging management thinkers and named the “Oprah of Management Ideas”.

Alison Levine served as team capatain for the first American Women’s Everest Expedition, has climbed Seven Summits, and even skied to the North and South Poles. She draws authentic parallels between unconventional leadership concepts in the world of extreme adventure and business.

Lastly, you’ll experience Columbus in a new way. You’ll experience COSI—the Center of Science and Industry—at the Opening Celebration, with food, performances, and drinks representing five entertainment districts in Columbus. The Classic will bring you a once in a lifetime, private performance by John Legend. The Closing Celebration features an evening at EXPRESS Live! with models stomping the runway, a food truck smorgasbord, and performances throughout the night. These exclusive evening celebrations are for ASAE Annual Meeting attendees only!
